Whether you’ve crafted a completely original design or blended in some store-bought pieces, we enthusiastically celebrate cosplayers for their creativity and passion in embodying their favorite characters, both in craftsmanship and performance! That said, ensuring the comfort and safety of everyone at Comfest Bahrain is paramount. To that end, we respectfully ask all attendees to follow these important guidelines:

At Comfest Bahrain, we are committed to ensuring that everyone enjoys a fantastic time at our family-friendly festival. To achieve this, these behavioral guidelines for all attendees are of utmost importance. Any violation of the following policies may result in you being asked to leave the event:

General Guidelines

  • Be Respectful: Consider the comfort and experience of your fellow attendees at all times.
  • Mindful Photography: We appreciate the enthusiasm for capturing moments with cosplayers. However, please be mindful of the locations where you choose to pose for and take photos.
  • Stay Clear of Central Aisles: Kindly refrain from blocking the central aisles, as these are vital pathways for exhibitors and artists at their stands and tables.
  • Avoid Congested Areas: Please steer clear of entrances and other spaces where attendees need to pass through or queue.
  • Always Ask Before Photographing: For the sake of everyone’s comfort, please make sure to ask for permission before taking a photograph of a cosplayer.
  • Handle Props Responsibly: Treat all cosplay props with care and respect.
  • A Zero Tolerance for Inappropriate Behavior: If you are found behaving inappropriately with any prop, whether it belongs to you or someone else, you will be asked to leave the event.
INDECENCY

Offensive or Culturally Insensitive Cosplay: Costumes that are considered Offensive or culturally inappropriate will not be permitted inside the venue.

VIOLENCE AND NUDITY

Comfest Bahrain has ZERO tolerance for violence and nudity. Any violence, threats and costumes that gives an illusion of nudity is not permitted and will result in immediate removal from the event.

WEAPONS AND PROPS

We know that your props are an integral part of your cosplay but we ask that you refer to the rules below before bringing your prop or weapon to an event.

  • Functional bows or crossbows
  • Darts
  • Slingshots
  • Unsecured whips
  • Pyrotechnics/explosives (including glitter and smoke bombs)
